2021 Theme: A Life of Prayer
In order to help individual members strive for more spiritual growth and for each local church to grow, the USGA would like to set "A Life of Prayer" as the 2021 theme for all US churches to follow.
EXPLANATION:
From the 45th NCC (2020) reports, we can see the increasing number of challenges faced in the areas of pastoral and evangelical work. Living a life of prayer should be a priority goal for every member, especially during this pandemic. By living out this theme, the church will be better equipped to face the many challenges and difficulties in various aspects of holy work and individual members may be spiritually nourished in their daily lives.
RECOMMENDED ACTIONS:
Each local church to establish its own detailed plan on how to encourage and mobilize all members to pray daily at home.
Prayer group ideas:
groups of multiple families
individual families
youths
young couples
RE teachers
etc.
This is a good opportunity for members/families who already have their own prayer groups and are currently living out a daily life of prayer to invite other members/families to join/have their own groups/develop the daily habit.
USGA to upload all plans submitted by local churches (by January 31st, 2021) so that local churches can learn from one another.
Announce this theme and overall plan to the congregation for all members to strive towards this goal together.
